After 13 years of waiting , James Cameron has finally delivered Avatar: The Way of Water in theatres on December 16. Because it was the sequel to one of the greatest films of all time, the film was already expected to break box office records. The film has done extremely well in India in just three days, exceeding all expectations. The film earned approximately 41 crores on its first day in India and has so far earned approximately 150 crores at the box office.
Avatar: The Way Of Water took an impressive opening of around Rs 41 crore in India. It scored another big on its second day. If we talk about the business worldwide, then Avatar sequel has earned more than Rs 3600 crores in three days.
The film has been released in over 12,000 screens in the US and Canada and 40,000 screens internationally. The film takes us back to a moon in the Alpha Centauri galaxy called Pandora where a conflict between invading humans and the indigenous Navi tribe countries.
The Way of Water stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Kate Winslet and Stephen Lang. Thejeetnews.in in its review for Avatar 2 wrote, “Avatar: The Way of Water the movie arrives with massively high expectations, considering James Cameron made fans wait for 13 years before returning to Pandora.” The director, who has delivered some of the most memorable cinematic experiences, lives up to the visual expectations. Is so far more brilliant and more fanciful than 2009 debut.
